Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea: Granit Xhaka Sends Gunners Into EFL Cup Final At Wembley

Arsenal will play Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final after coming from behind to beat Chelsea in a thrilling semi-final second leg at Emirates Stadium.

A relentless start to the contest saw Eden Hazard hand the Blues a sixth minute lead only for Antonio Rudiger’s own goal to draw the Gunners level soon after. Granit Xhaka secured a 3-2 aggregate victory in the second half as Arsenal booked their place in the EFL Cup Final, where they will face Manchester City.

Arsenal might have added a third but Alex Iwobi's shot was blocked by the legs of Willy Caballero, but the miss did not prove costly.

Arsenal head coach, Arsene Wenger, will have the chance to claim the last domestic honour missing from his trophy collection after Arsenal overcame an early deficit to defeat Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners, bidding to win this competition for the first time since 1993, meet Manchester City in the final at Wembley on 25 February after Pep Guardiola's side saw off Bristol City in the other semi-final.
